Stun Guns for Women

Women do not find it as easy to carry a Self Defense Product as men do. We look at them as weapons. Yes, they are a weapon.  We must look at them as what they are, a non-lethal weapon. Attacks against women are a rising criminal static that we can not disregard. I’m going to give you some food for thought about the Stun Gun.

A Stun Gun uses an electrical signal to temporarily disable an attacker. The charge combines with the electrical signals from the attacker’s brain. This signal makes it very difficult to decipher any messages from the brain.  When these lines of communication go down, the attacker has a very hard time telling his muscles to move, and he may become confused and unbalanced.  Your attacker is partially paralyzed, temporarily. This is your chance to get away and call for help.

When the attacker is hit with an electrical signal from your Stun Gun the signal doesn’t do anything but deplete the attacker’s energy reserves, leaving him too weak to move (ideally). If an attacker touches you, there will be no electric shock or charge back to you. The amperage is too low to create a traveling circuit. The voltage stays between the electrodes and the attacker. The higher the voltage rating of a stun gun, the faster it will incapacitate the target.

Most Stun Guns come with some type of quick release that disables the unit if the attacker gets it away from you. Don’t let the fear of having the Stun Gun used against you stop you from defending yourself. The attacker will not be able to use it against you as it is disabled when it is pulled from the wrist strap and safety switch. Be sure to choose a Stun Gun that has a quick release.

Why a Stun Gun for self defense.  It is really a choice you need to make for yourself. Some people will feel safer just knowing they have the power of a Stun Gun rather than a canister of Pepper Spray.  Remember it is said that often an attacker will turn around and leave just with the sound of the electrical current and the burning smell. As women we need to realize that we are more often the target and we need the best chance we can to get away from an attack. 

Attackers knows the same things you know about self defense products and even more.  If you are determined to protect yourself then do it right.

First be alert and aware of your surroundings.  See someone suspicious? Look them square in the eye. No criminal wants a victim who can identify them in a lineup. If anyone approaches you, making you feel uncomfortable, warn them orally so that they know you mean business and do not want them any closer. They do not want attention paid to them. If that doesn't deter them point your stun gun in their direction and discharge it.  The electrodes produce a loud intimidating crackling sound that is your best chance of warding off an attacker before contact.  Remember if it doesn’t be prepared to use it against the attacker. Resistance is your chance of survival, if you make it hard for the attacker to accomplish his goal he is more likely to give up.  Criminals are lazy and do not want a challenge.
