I have a six year old daughter that loves to swim in our backyard swimming pool. We worry about safety since our dog had fallen into the pool and drowned a coupe summers ago.
Once this happened I went and bought a pool alarm from one of the alarm shops online. This alarm will make a loud noise if something plunges into the pool setting off the electronic monitoring system.
It is very easy to set up and use. Now we know if our daughter decides to get into the pool with out our knowledge by setting off an alarm inside our house.
Once this alarm is armed it cannot be turned off, but it can be put into sleep mode. With a setting like this you will be constantly ready for it to alarm if something ever falls into the pool and is in danger. This pool alarm was delivered to my house and came with simple instructions how to set it up. I was able to do it all by myself.
Once we bought the pool alarm we had a few friends over for lunch. One of them had brought their 5 year old daughter to play with ours.
When I learned that her child did not know how to swim, I made sure that the pool alarm was activated. Accompanied by my daughter, they headed outside to have fun.
A few minutes later there was a deafening noise in the house. The pool alarm had been set off, at first I thought that it was a freak accident and thought nothing of it. Then I looked outside and saw my daughter struggling for air in the deeper part of our pool.
I was able to get to my daughter before she went under water. I know that this pool alarm saved my daughters life and that my pets will also be safe as long as I have it.
