Mace Spray--Point And Spray!

by Jstun B Bmbico

I roused from sleep when I heard footfalls on our roof. It was around 3 a.m. and that kind of noise at that hour was alarming. I hurriedly stood up and glanced out the window but only observed the night sky.

Moving silently to my little girl's room, I saw a man spying on her outside her window. I ran back to my room and got one of my personal defense devices that I placed in a drawer for emergencies, my Mace spray.

I had my back against the wall so that the creep wouldn't detect that I was there. When I got to him, I opened the window and pointed the Mace spray directly into his face.

He tumbled down two floors before he hit the ground. From the main entrance, I watched him slowly get up and escape. I was rushing out with the Mace spray on the ready when he drove away on a motorcycle.

Fortunately, I copied down his plate number and even identified him. I first saw him observing my daughter when I got her after school maybe a week ago. He was staring at her from afar in a non-welcoming way.

He showed no reaction, drawing a cell phone from his pocket instead as though he just happened to be standing there. As we got in the car, I stole one last glance and caught him eyeing my daughter again.

It was because of that event that I made sure to always have Mace spray nearby. In addition, I kept other personal defense devices close at hand when out on the road.

I contacted the police, recounted the incident at my house and gave them the plate number of the motorcycle. I am thankful one of my personal defense devices saved my daughter from a possible attack!
