Hi-tech Family Protection

by Hooya A Seadog

There was a burglary in our neighborhood not long ago. The most alarming fact about it was that the patriarch's PA orchestrated the whole thing. We decided to organize a system for hi-tech family protection.

My brother suggested we get hi-tech gadgets when purchasing covert surveillance equipment. He said that this would deter the more tech-savvy lawbreakers. If one were to be familiar with conventional alarms, like the thief was, he or she would have no trouble bypassing those systems.

We observed a lot of possible hi-tech family protection devices from things we saw in the office. My dad said that there are modern spy cameras that have the capacity and features to make it almost impossible to fool.

I proposed to use dome and wireless cameras for outside and DVR hidden cameras with some board cams for the inside of the house. I reckoned we needed the 360 degrees of visibility as part of our covert surveillance equipment.

Since my brother was the technology expert, he explained about high resolution day-night cameras that would capture images well even when light is scarce. This item fit well in our hi-tech family protection plans.

We were awed at my ma's suggestion of an electronic dog alarm as another part of the covert surveillance equipment. It was to bark like the real thing if it picks up any disturbances at the door and even through the windows.

Finally, we resolved that no hi-tech family protection system would be complete without highly targeted devices like a driveway and pool alarm. IP cameras are also useful as they can be viewed from any physical location, say, dad's office.

We were glad to have a fruitful brainstorming on covert surveillance equipment. The next morning, my brother and I excitedly went online to browse different models and then show our parents the ones that we particularly felt would be excellent purchases.
